As usual great service with a lovely clean and fresh feel with new layout of white linen cloth on the tables and mirrored lit background decor simply adds to the overall absence and as usual great tasting food and a good selection of drinks with very polite and attentative service.Great value for money, and my guests are amazed when they try the lovely selection of different curries available.A surprise finish and good end to the evening were the free Baileys drink and Brandy with Orange chocolate pieces to finish.A great night out for special occasions.Good to shake hands with everyone, including the chef on departure to say thank you for it all.

On being welcomed to the British Raj by both Ifti and Shab I was seated and made to feel very comfortable and valued as a customer even before I looked at the menu.The customer service and quality of food are absolutely fantastic at the British Raj.I've not enjoyed a Chicken Chat Puri and Chicken Tikka pathia with a Rice as much as I enjoyed the meal here ! The chefs have truly perfected the spices and flavours to create amazing food here.Both Ifti and Shab were genuine friendly and very customer focused. This is what a true established local business should be like without hesitation.I would highly recommend Anyone visit the British Raj for a sit down meal as you will not regret it my visit here was so good I will definitely become a regular customer as I support business like this and the lasting impressions all the staff here left me and the quality of food as well.Thank you to Ifti and Shab and the chefs in the kitchen for making a stranger like me feel so welcome.

First time having takeaway from The British Raj. Food arrived on time and nice and hot. Everything was delicious, impressive portion sizes. Will definitely be ordering from here again and will be dining in the restaurant itself at some point

The British Raj (at the time of writing) accepts Meerkat Meals 2-for1 on main dishes. Having not been to this curry house in a while we thought we'd give it a go. The noises of appreciation from around the table were confirmation of how I felt, that the food was really good. I decided I would try a selection of their vegetable dishes and these were all full of flavour and - in the case of the vegetable pathia - excellently spiced. As well, they even have non-alcoholic beer available. The average price (using the Meerkat offer) was 20 per head including drinks. Card payments are accepted here, and the staff were very friendly - we even got to shake the hand of the head chef! I will definitely be going again.

One of the best indian restaurants in Sittingbourne, if not the UK.Everytime we get to the UK from Aus, we always eat here once or twice. The lamb korma is amazing, and a must have of any amazing meal selection.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived and was served by a polite and attentive lady. The food was both fabulous and of very generous portions. All washed down with a couple of Cobra lagers, which were on draft. Drinks, poppadoms, starters and mains for 2 with a bill under 50. Excellent value for money and I would highly recommend
